LAN Airlines is the flag carrier of Chile and one of the largest airliners in South America. Headquartered in Santiago Chile, the airlines main hub is also located in Santiago’s Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport. Founded in 1929 as Linea Aeropostal Santiago-Arica, in 1932 changed the airline name to Linea Aerea Nacional de Chile (LAN Chile)
Today LAN Airlines has a fleet of 90 aircraft and serves 48 destinations. With extensive coverage throughout the Americas LAN Airlines also serves Europe and South Pacific countries. LAN Airlines is a member of Oneworld, a global airline alliance between 11 world airlines that serve 720 cities in over 140 countries.
