Iberia Airlines is Spain’s largest airline as well as the country’s flag carrier. Headquartered in Madrid Spain, Iberia’s 2 main airports are Barcelona and Madrid Spain.
With a fleet size of 183 aircraft, and a flight schedule taking Iberia Airlines to over 120 world wide destinations has been a major force in international air travel. As of November 2009 Iberia Airlines has just signed an agreement to merge with British Airways. Combined, Iberia and British Airways will become the 3rd largest airline in the world, following Delta and American Airlines.
Iberia Airlines belongs to the airline alliance of Oneworld, a global airline alliance between 11 world airlines that serve over 720 cities in over 140 countries.
